What to bring to a skatepark or freestyle area
- Certified helmet and shin guards: pedal hits to the shin are the most common BMX park injury.
- Take turns and do not hang around landing zones; share lines with skaters and scooters.
- Check whether the skatepark allows bikes and pegs: some restrict them or only allow plastic-sleeved pegs.
- When wet, concrete gets very slippery: better wait until it dries.
General tips for this kind of venue; each venue’s own rules come first.
